Nick began his journey across the ocean yesterday afternoon. He will be gone for about 3 weeks working on the Africa Mercy while it is dry docked for repairs and upgrades. While I miss him terribly, I know in my heart of hearts that God has created Nick for this time and for this trip. We are excited to start our new journey serving in and with Mercy Ships. One of Nick’s biggest concerns before he accepted this new position was the fear of not getting to experience the ship. And look at how God provided, he is getting to experience the ship before actually beginning work in Texas. God truly goes before us in every way.
Please be praying for Nick’s health, safety, and effectiveness while he is away for the next three weeks. Also pray for the ministry as they are in a preparation phase before the ship returns to Madagascar in August. The days are long, the work is big. But God is great!
And – according to the wonderful world of technology…Nick has landed in Johannesburg, South Africa!
