When doubts creep in, my first instinct is to stop. The doubts can be paralyzing. I immediately search for safety and familiarity. But that is when I should be looking to Jesus. The one whose footsteps I am called to follow.
1 Peter 2:21 says, “To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.”
His example. His steps. That is where we are called to walk.
Those steps might lead through some dark valleys. Or they might lead to a magnificent view from a mountaintop. But you can be sure that if He is the one who holds you steady, the doubts are easier to pass through.
