So hard to leave…

PassionWell, it hit me like a ton of bricks this morning at 3:35 am (2/5/2013) that we are moving in May/June!  It’s going to be incredibly rough leaving everyone we know & love to move to Honduras.  I mean sure, we’ll have phone, skype, videos etc, but it’s going to be HARD!

We have been so positive about it that I don’t think people realize it’s not easy for us either…

It also hit me that Britt and I probably wouldn’t have been able to leave to start a school.   It’s just too difficult and we would have had so many excuses to stay.  God KNEW that!

So He gave us 3 beautiful girls of His to take care of.  He knows we cannot walk away from that.

Our sweet girls

Our sweet girls

When you know with absolute certainty that God is asking you to do something, how can you say no?

We all have our convictions and passions.  My hope is that people will listen to God in their own lives & decide to help change something.  Get a little fed up people!  Choose to help change this world – and don’t stop!  It’s my prayer that we never stop, ever…

My precious Son, Brittany, Allyson & Mya,
It will be incredibly hard to tell you all good-bye on the day you all depart for Honduras. I want you all to know that I support you guys 100% and I truly believe that God has more in store for all of us. From the time I first laid eyes on you, when you were born, I just knew you would make a difference in so many lives as you grew up. And you have! Together with God, Brittany, Ally and Mya, you all are unstoppable. And now, adopting Flor, Stephanie and Nahomy is a testament of your unselfishness and unstoppable love that you all share. I wish you all the best, I love you all with all of my heart and I will be coming to visit ALL OF YOU and looking forward to meeting my “NEW GRANDDAUGHTERS!” I have enough hugs and enough love for all of you!
    Love,
    Mom/Mima

After our first encounter at man group I told Cathie that this young man Nick i got acquainted with is special and has a special spirit that I think God will nourish. I have gained much insightful thought from our short times together and will certainly miss these times, however, God has chosen a great family to be a light of His and I am sure you will shine ever so brightly for Him.
Matthew 5:16 “In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”

Dear Nick Brit and girls, Please know that we are so proud of your desire to follow God’s plan for your lives. It is not easy to see you go to a far away place but we also understand that where God leads is exactly where you need to be. The same God that is leading you to Honduras to share His love with the people there is the same God that gives us the peace and assurance that this is what you need to do. Our thoughts and prayers are our part of the ministry that God has called you to do. Be assured that you will be held before Him on a daily basis. Love you!!! God’s Blessings, Gram and Gramps
